New graphic identity and restructured content architecture
Louder was commissioned to update the sefina.se website, where we designed both the UI (user interface) and UX (user experience), created a content architecture and wrote basic copy. The goal was to create an easy-to-navigate, interactive and stylish website that converts visitors into customers by borrowing and pawning items.
Sefina.se is a complex website with an online shop containing tens of thousands of unique products, a pawnbroking system, valuation system, calculators, press room, blog and customer portal. In addition, it has many external database connections, which requires a well thought-out and professional solution.
We analyzed Sefina’s previous website and identified several issues:
- High bounce rate: Visitors left the site immediately.
- Complicated navigation with four menus that confused users.
- Difficult to read long pieces of text, written mainly for SEO.
- Low responsiveness: The website was mainly built for computers despite the majority of mobile visitors.
Actions
To meet the needs of Sefina, we took the following measures:
- Upgraded platform technology for speed and security.
- Redesigned the website for both mobile and desktop users.
- Created a new graphic identity to strengthen the brand.
- Restructured content for better navigation and interaction.
- Implemented a separate web shop for optimized information search.
- Simplified the purchase flow and introduced an online valuation of items.
- Launched the “Vintage box” for users to submit and pawn valued items.
- Improved customer service with a clean and efficient chat.
- Facilitated SEO tags for web shop editors.
